    It's Chikanmugal not Chikamugal. There is small statue of God "Ganesha". The legend says one farmer whenever he passed that statue the oil he was carrying spilled out of his hand. So, one day he became so angry with the statue that he turned it backside. So, that statue is still faced backward.
